Hello! I’m Kirsty

Certified Professional Dog Trainer

Manners Under Distraction Dog Training is run and operated by me Kirsty Matthews. I have always had a complete love for animals and end up helping out with transport and fundraising for dog rescue groups. I wanted to foster care dogs however our family had two rescue dogs Bella (picture with me) and a dog aggressive corgi cross named Buster. Due to Busters behavioural issues i couldn’t foster until I learnt about Alpha Canine Group in Melbourne.  Knowing there was very limited dog trainers in north east Victoria i decided this was my opportunity to not only help Buster and the dog rescue group but the wider community to have a better relationship with their dogs. In 2014 I completed The Professional Dog trainer course though Alpha Canine Professionals and 2017 and 2018 i further my studies with an Advanced Professional Dog Trainers certificate with Alpha and a Therapy Dog Certificate through Lead The Way Institute.
